Oklahoma Christian University Chorale

The Oklahoma Christian University Chorale was founded in the first year of the university's existence (1950) and is the oldest musical organization on campus. The choir numbers 65-100 singers and draws its membership from all academic areas of the university. Its members typically hail from throughout North America. Auditions for the Chorale are held during the first week of classes, and are open to both music majors and non-majors. Daily rehearsals take place in the beautiful Adams Recital Hall.

The Chorale has toured and performed throughout the United States, in Mexico and Europe. The group has performed as an Honor Choir for the Oklahoma Music Educators Association convention in Oklahoma City. In addition to singing a choral masterwork with orchestra each fall, the Chorale has performed with the Oklahoma Symphony Orchestra, the Oklahoma City Philharmonic and the Oklahoma Community Orchestra. The Chorale concluded its first European tour with a performance in Vienna's famous Karlskirche.
